Oh, And One More Thing

Chances are that your copy of the October Ultrarunning Magazine has arrived, and maybe you've checked out Charlie's '08 Cascade Crest race report. Well, one juicy little race tidbit that didn't quite make it into print was local runner Jeff Mikesell's engagement, to his girlfriend, at the Thorp Mountain lookout during the race. Nice work, Jeff! Seems to me most people hit the coffee or caffeine gels to keep going, but hey, whatever it takes to get you to the finish.
